We are a quiet, relaxed run site on part of a family working farm. The farm has Freisan, Holstein and Montebeliard herd and followers, with a smaller beef herd of Aberdeen Angus and Limousine cattle. Our 5 spacious pitches are all on gravel hard standing with their own individual electric hook up points. Due to their design, we will be open all year round and in all weathers. So you can have peace of mind when booking ahead.

We also have a toilet on site, with a small kitchen area and Hot and Cold water. Washing machine is also there for your conveinence. We have an 'Old Dairy' which has washing up facilities with hot water at all times. We sell locally produced eggs, ice-cream and Freezer meals and cakes, and also crafts.
Many walks are available from site and also a short drive away. See more on our Web Site

excellent friendly site

This is an excellent, well situated site with very welcoming and helpful owners. There are good dog walks from the site and nearby and it is a very peaceful rural location yet close to good transport routes. The additional facilities are very welcome (the washing machine, sink, ice cream, frozen meals and cakes and local crafts) and there is also an exceptionally clean toilet for use by caravanners. There is also plenty of space on the site and we will very certainly return.

Brilliant CL

Stayed at the CL at the end of April 2018. This site is really exceptional. A warm welcome from the helpful and friendly owners, excellent facilities, enormous hard standing pitches and a massive field for our cocker spaniel puppy to romp in. Everything a CL should be and we will most definitely return, but for longer than 1 night. David I.

A cold weekend away!

Our first experience of a CL site and what a benchmark to set! This site is excellent. Super wide pitches, electric hook ups, water, waste, on site toilet, washing area, eggs and ice cream for sale..... The pitches overlook 'a beautiful view' and is kept in really good order. What nobody has mentioned on here is if you don't mind a 3 mile walk (down a very quiet single track road called Nabb Lane) then you reach the pretty village of Alton with a good choice of pubs. I have only marked down the 'peace and tranquillity' score as its a working farm. What do you expect when you stay on a working farm!! Certainly one we will return to each year for a weekend away.

Another excellent stay

This is a great site run by a lovely couple our kids and dogs love this site always an absolute pleasure to stop at.

What a lovely site

This campsite is lovely, polite greeting by the proprioters, close to Alton towers and set inside a working farm. Has toilet and indoor supplies room where you can purchase all you're eggs, ice cream and forgotten items. We have already pre booked two further dates. this site is reasonably priced and Would highly recommend this site to others. Highly recommend this site

This is, quite simply, one of the best! From the warm welcome to the layout and facilities it would be difficult to find any way to improve. The Caravan Club should use this CL as a benchmark site. Thanks, we will be back for more.

Great place to stay

Excellent site to stay on. I've used it for nearly 2 weeks as working in the area. Mick and Anna are very welcoming and will help you out should you need any assistance... ...which I did reversing into my pitch as new to caravanning!! As others have mentioned great size pitches and the facilities are perfect. Will be staying again! Thx

First Weekend away in new van w/e 21st Oct

This was the first w/e away in our new van on the weekend of 21st of Oct 16. We were only 8 miles from home as the crow fly's but it was still a lovely break. Access was easy, hard standing spacious and facilities clean, neat and tidy. The local Ice Cream that is available on site was gorgeous. As mentioned we do live local anyway but f you are from further afield this is a lovely spot with easy access to Alton Towers, the Peak District and the exquisite Churnet Valley

Anna could not have been more helpful and engaging. What a breath of fresh air re pitches and pitching. The pitches are absolutely enormous, you are encouraged to pitch as you like, even upside down !!! We pitched our 7 mt van side on with the door side facing the setting sun. With ample space for the car at the side. it would be bliss in the summer. Lots of small villages within reasonable walking distance from the site, most even with a pub that is open. All the facilities are spot on and convenient. Wifi reached our van. A bonus. We had fantastic entertainment in the morning on our bird feeder, numerous small birds, even a woodpecker. No light pollution and the only noise is bird songs. The loyalty card system is a brilliant idea. As Arnie said " We will be back" We would recommend arriving after noon and departing before noon, as the approach roads are narrow.
