Friendly and very well kept.

We stayed at Five Oaks for the May Bank Holiday. The site is close to a main road, which provides very easy access, with a large secure gate. Despite being a stone's throw from the road, it was sheltered and quiet. It is a flat site, very easy to pitch on, with beautifully maintained grass. William was friendly and helpful, and easy to get hold of, but never intrusive. We are planning to return.

Excellent

As everyone has said. William is great, very friendly. Very pretty site. Everything is immaculate. It might be expensive for a CL but offers more than most. Even a spotless toilet. Good electricity and water to pitches.

Very well run and maintained

We had chosen this quiet site near to home for our first trip in our new setup and as it was dog friendly and family frieldly it suited us well as a family of 5 with young children and dog. We was welcomed on arrival by a gentleman called William and his young son who was wonderful, this was the first weekend out of travel lockdown and much to our amazement it was very quiet. this being the way we had a pick of pitches which was lovely. We were told where all the on site waste and toilet was and was informed of a fair few local attractions some of which were very new to us. The site is very well kept and very quiet and tranquil, although its a very active stables also there was no smell at all of horses or any noise from the stable users, actually the stable users were very friendly aslo. The river walk was lovely and a very easy walk. Would highy reccomend this location and would definately re visit soon

Wonderful site with excellent facilities

Wonderful site with excellent facilities, well spaced and a magnificent welcome from William and Bella. Very secure and next to excellent bike rides.

Excellent

Stayed at this site at the weekend for the first time. Really well run. Charming helpful owner. Really roomy. Lovely area. Looking forward to visiting again.

Five Oaks Stables

We have just spent five days here. The site is very spacious and maintained to a high standard. The facilities were clean and easy to use. We set up overlooking the paddocks and beyond to woods - excellent. The site is easy to find and is in a central position to visit Sissinghurst Castle, Leeds Castle and the Historic Dockyard Chatham. William, the owner gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful throughout our stay.

A beautiful early spring idyll

We have just spent 7 days in William's paddock. We found this to be a lovely, well organised site conveniently located close to Maidstone and the surrounding areas. The necessary facilities were clean and easy to use. William keeps the paddock tidy; the grass was not too high and the ground was fine in the two named storms we experienced during our stay. Access is easy for any sized rig. Gentle walking is our 'thing', and the Kent footpaths that we used were well signed and well maintained, with some great views over the Weald. Pubs were good for both lunch and evening meals. You will realise from this review that we had an excellent time here.

5 oak stables

We have spent 5 nights on this site and were very pleased with our choice. William was out when we arrived but we were met by his daughter and made very welcome. We were shown the site facilities given the gate code and shown to the pitching area. The 2 Alsatians also welcomed us. When William returned he came over and introduced himself. We had a very enjoyable stay and will certainly return when we next visit the area.

2 Night break

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 night stay at 5 Oaks Stables. We were greeted by the owner and shown to our plot. We had our motor home with us, and although site was fully furnished. We felt for motorhomes there could have been a couple of hard standings. (Maybe in the future). We felt that a CL site shouldn’t be charging £25 per night, especially in November. I understand that if we were to go fishing then the £50 for two nights may have been justified, for the future we will secure the tariff before arriving.

Stay at five Oak Stable

From when we first made contact about booking a pitch, to when we left, William could not have been more helpful. Easy to access, only 100 yards down a lane. Pull off with plenty of room. William greeted us and was very helpful. Site very safe and secure. Place was very well laid out. Electric & water was right by where we parked, power at a few locations around the field, It was great crossing the field to the nearby pub, called the Stile Bridge, which was next to the river. Great choice of real ales and full of character, friendly landlord there as well. We had meals both nights, good choice, polite staff, what more could you want. During the day we visited the vineyard about 4 miles away and loads of other attractions close by. Only had 2 days weekend break, but we will be back soon. Thanks William you have a great set up.

Directions : Turn left off the A229 Maidstone-Hastings, approximately 1 mile south of Linton into Stilebridge Lane. Site on the right through Green Double Gates in 100 metres.
