Welcome To Orchard Lodge
Orchard Lodge CL Site
Caravan and Motorhome Club
5 Outfits Only
Orchard Lodge CL is located within a 10 acre small holding about half a mile from the charming Cotswold village of Bibury. William Morris once described Bibury as "the most beautiful village in England". The site itself is flat, about 0.75 acres and with a choice of hard standings or lawned pitches. All pitches have access to electrical hook ups, several have their own water tap and all have room for awnings. The site is secluded being sheltered on 3 sides by hedges and trees with an open aspect over one of our paddocks. Recycling facilities are provided.
The site is an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. It is about 6 miles from Cirencester, 7 miles from Chedworth Roman Villa, 10 miles from Burford, 11 miles from the Cotswold Water Park, 12 miles from Bourton-on-the-Water, 18 miles from the Cotswold Farm Park (Adam's Farm), 20 miles from Cheltenham and 21 miles from Westonbirt Arboretum. More details can be found in our Information Hut. There is a bus stop 500 yards from the site with 5 buses a day into Cirencester and 4 buses back.
The Catherine Wheel pub serves excellent food at a reasonable price and is 0.75 mile away. Also serving food in Bibury are the Swan Hotel and the William Morris Tea Room. Basic provisions (eg. papers, bread, milk) can be obtained from the Trout Farm which also serves teas and snacks. There is also a Post Office and gift shop. In Cirencester there is a full range of shops including 2 Tesco's, a Waitrose, Co-op, Aldi and Lidl supermarkets.
After a short walk on a quiet road there are a variety of footpaths which can be followed allowing circular walks from 2 miles upwards through beautiful Cotswold countryside and villages.

Great pair of sites
This is a site (and its sister site) we have used on a few occasions. One has hardstandings the other a field. Which is better depends on the weather and I would normally choose the Farm site (field) when it is dry. The truth is this is a well run (pair) of sites in a very good location within easy walking distance of Bibury (or very easy driving distance!). The biggest challenge with either site is that they are often full especially over the weekends. We have had no problem booking weeks either end of the season, but weekends May-August you can't book short notice - this tells you plenty
Just The Ticket!!
Although we have previously stayed here, we hadn't visited for about 18 months, Our scheduled arrival date was thwarted by the arrival of 'The Beast From The East' however Alan was very accommodating in keeping us updated on the snow so we could adjust our travel plans accordingly. Plenty of walking from the site and an easy stroll down into Bibury. Hardstandings are a real bonus at this time of year as the ground was absolutely saturated. Since our last visit, water taps had been added to many of the pitches and it's great to be able to let the dog off in the field for a run around. We think this is a lovely CL and provides great value for money considering where it is situated. One of the previous reviews does the site and the owners a real disservice (as far as I'm concerned anyway). We will definitely be back.
Just back from a 6 day stay. A friendly welcome. A realy well organised, well kept site. loads of information in the hut of where to go places to see. A special place for dog walker made. Would definitely recommend this site. Thank you to the owners
Even though their are 10 pitches only 5 are allowed so plenty of room and choice of hardstanding or grass. Good facilities for bins etc. Excellent value, good views and well kept. Many thanks
