East Fortune Farm CL, exclusive to Caravan Club members is a multi-awarding winning site with 5 generously spaced, hard standing pitches. With open views across the countryside towards North Berwick Law this immaculate site offers generously spaced hardstanding pitches all within easy reach of the facilities. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the freedom of the farm with field walks for your dogs. There are woods which attract lots of wildlife and the whole park offers a wonderful setting where you can enjoy a BBQ on those sunny evenings for your al fresco dining!
Drinking water facilities are available at the top of the site with chemical, grey water disposal areas, bins and recycling all at the bottom next to the information hut. Own sanitation is required as there are no toilet block or shower facilities on the farm. A motorhome service point is available to all users and accessed via the main farm entrance. Next to this is our laundry which has washing machine and tumble dryer facilities.
The Brand Family Larder farm shop which stocks our own home-reared meat, locally sourced produce and caravan and camping essentials can be accessed by road via the main farm entrance or a short walk along the grass walkway in front of the site.
Dogs are very welcome at no extra charge and there are accessible grass walkways around the farm for you and the family to enjoy with them.
There is a country bus service from East Fortune into North Berwick and Haddington from outside Merryhatton Garden Centre which is just 10 minutes’ walk from East Fortune Farm. Local taxis are easily available and East Lothian also benefits from some park and ride facilities into Edinburgh.
Please note that the caravan site backs on to the B1377 which can get busy with traffic depending on the time of year.

Great second stay at this well run CL site
This was the second time for us staying at East Fortune and after two years the site is still as well run and maintained as before. Enjoyed several days at the Edinburgh Fringe during our six night stay as well as a couple of bike rides in the wonderful local countryside. I thought a video would give a much better impression of the site than any words I could write so if you'd like to get an overview of the site feel free to check here. https://youtu.be/J7m4Hi_PCwA
Gem of a site
Access from A1 a little narrow at times but take your time and you're OK. Enter through the gate which is closed at all times. Beware the deer. One ran round the perimeter of next field and out onto the main road which is a fast one! Beautiful animal who disappeared as fast as it was seen. No showers or WC but we use our on board facilities anyway. Views across to "the Law" a local landmark. Volcano shaped Hill. Road beside us a bit noisy as 60mph speed limit lanes only downside. Owners friendly and helpful. Dogs allowed and dog walks around the fields available. Tidy and well kept site. Information shed sells eggs - honesty box. TV reception great. Close to railway line but it didn't bother us at all. East Fortune aviation museum worth a visit. Dogs allowed but not inside the buildings. Vulcan bomber alone worth a view. North Berwick is great. Lunch at the County Hotel recommended. Dunbar worth sightseeing with parking on the dock. Edinburgh 20 minutes by car. Lots of golf courses if that's your thing. We stayed for 6 nights and loved it.
Great little site
Just had 3 nights on this little beauty. Great location to visit Edinburgh, and North Berwick. The CL is in beautiful condition, with the grass kept tidy, and everything in its place. Pitches well spaced out so no encroaching on other campers area. Only downside it the water pressure! I would take our 51L container to the tap at the top of the site, walk back to the van, take the toilet box to the point at the bottom of the site and empty and clean it. Take it back to the van, load it up with fluid, fill the flush resevoir, then take the grey waste to the empty point, put all the pipes back in, walk back to the water barrel, and it was still only half full!! At least i got my step count up! That said, our stay was fantastic, and the owners were great. And make sure you get some of those eggs!
Very well maintained site with adequate dog walk adjacent to the site lovely views from the caravan we even liked watching the trains going to and fro from north Berwick to Edinburgh The only negatives were was the traffic noise would not have believed a 'b' road could be so busy so not a site for light sleepers also the water pressure extremely poor. It is a working farm but the electric fencing protecting the very rare breed of sheep does mean you need to take great care walking round the dog walk The owners are lovely very welcoming and helpful and have even provided a lovely little summer house at the top of a wood for the use of all staying at the site We would definitely go back
A clean and tidy CL
Stayed for 4 nights in August. Everything as it should be for a popular CL. We used this as a base for visiting Edinburgh and the surrounding area of East Lothian. Recommend using Park & Ride if contemplating going into Edinburgh city; just £1.60 per adult each way. City centre parking very costly and traffic is a nightmare. Site has Wi-Fi but costs £1.50 per day, on top of the £15 p.n. One down side was the traffic noise each morning and evening, being as the site and pitches back onto the adjacent road. Just a hedge to separate the two.
