We are a new Caravan and Motorhome Club CL site, Located just in Scotland outside Gretna Green with easy access from A74(M)
We are in in ideal location for visiting Gretna Green, Hadrians Wall, Carlisle, North Penines , Dumfries and Galloway coastal trail and Northern Solway. We are only 1 hour from Keswick in the Northern Lake district, 1/2 hour from Penrith . The Scottish Borders, The Rievers trail and Keilder Forest are also easily accessed destinations as well. Glasgow and Edinburgh are an easy 2 hour drive away making an ideal stop off point if going to or from the Highlands or heading to or from the South of England.
Please note we are an over 16's site - The site is situated on a 'Parcel of Land' beside a Grade II listed Steading farm house. It is situated by the A74M and uses the Gretna services exit ramps for access.
We have 5 pitches all with a hardcore base, each has a grassed area for awnings or porches! Dogs are allowed and a good off road walk is available on country lanes 50 yards from the entrance. There are motorway services (Gretna Services) available 24 hour a day within a 10 min walk/2 min Drive.

Convenient overnight stop
This new CL is very handily sited just off the motorway using the Gretna Services to access so all the facilities of the services are available nearby. Info was emailed beforehand along with a map for a dog walk via footpaths and country lanes to the famous Blacksmiths in Gretna where we sat and had a coffee watching the weddings. The five hard standing pitches were all pretty level and three had EHU. The downside of the location is of course the road noise, but the convenience of breaking up a long journey without travelling too far out of my way outweighed this and it really didn’t bother me very much.
Directions : Do not follow Sat Nav within 1 mile of the site as the postcode will take you to Gretna Services.
From the South
Take the M6 North from Carlisle till it turns into the A74(M) at the Scottish border. Do not take the Gretna or A75 exits but continue North to the Gretna Services Exit. Take this exit and continue strait on over the bridge past the service entrance. At the roundabout just over the bridge take the exit strait over. DO NOT TAKE the first left as this is the exit from the A74(M) south. 50 metres on from the roundabout turn right at the T junction on to the B7076 TAKE CARE here as traffic can be fast moving. Our entrance is approx 200m on the right opposite The Douglas Steading.
